TOGETHER, WE CAN END HOMELESSNESS.
EVERYONE DESERVES A HOME
The Homeless Alliance works to rally our community to end homelessness by bringing together organizations to collaborate, identifying and filling gaps in services, streamlining processes, and using research-based strategies and national best practices to get people off the streets. Since 2004, we have housed thousands of people in OKC, built a homeless resource campus where people can visit to get help from dozens of agencies, and launched four successful social enterprises offering supportive employment to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Because we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

20 YEARS OF
RALLYING THE
COMMUNITY!
The Homeless Alliance Day Shelter provides a low-barrier space for our neighbors to access services that help them end their homelessness. We see an average of over 350 guests each day and prepared over 103,000 meals for our unhoused neighbors last year alone. Thanks to your incredible support, we surpassed our goal for the Fix Our Fridge Campaign! Because of your generosity, we can now make crucial improvements to our Day Shelter kitchen, ensuring we continue to provide fresh meals and essential services to those in need. While you are likely aware of the challenges faced by people who are experiencing homelessness during the winter, did you know summer can be just as dangerous?
This summer, OKC will see many days with temperatures of 100 degrees or higher! This creates a potentially dangerous situation for our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness. As the temperatures continue to rise, our clients are at risk for overexposure to the sun leading to heat stroke, dehydration, increased exposure to insects, and other serious health problems.
Want to lend a hand? We are currently in need of insect repellent, chapstick with SPF, Benadryl, Tylenol, aloe vera, and antibiotic ointment.
The Homeless Alliance began 20 years ago as a group of community volunteers concerned about the fractured system of care for people experiencing homelessness in Oklahoma City. After launching with just one employee in a borrowed office in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of OKC, one of the first initiatives of the Homeless Alliance was to begin convening the directors of the community's overnight shelters. Today, the Homeless Alliance operates a multi-agency homeless resource campus with access to multiple nonprofit and government agencies providing services including health clinics, veterans services, budgeting and legal assistance. Here's to the next 20 years!
